How a Click Becomes a Credited Sale
Follow a referral from the partner's link or code through to the sale they get credit for.
Attribution is the core promise of an affiliate program: every sale goes to the partner who drove it. In Afflo, two things can credit a sale — a tracked referral link click or a discount code used at checkout.
What the partner shares
On the affiliate’s Overview tab, each partner gets a Referral Link and a Discount Code, both with copy buttons. Either one ties a purchase back to them — the link through the cookie window set on the program, the code at checkout regardless of clicks.
From click to credited sale
The flow looks like this:
- A shopper clicks the partner’s link on the storefront (or uses their code)
- The order is placed in Shopify and syncs into Afflo
- Afflo matches the order to the partner and credits the sale
Where attribution surfaces
You’ll see credited sales in two places: the Dashboard, for the whole program at a glance, and each affiliate’s Performance tab, for the partner-by-partner breakdown. When a partner asks “did my post work?”, the Performance tab is where you answer.
